Why Paradosis?

Paradosis Press is the publishing imprint under which Annesi Bindings books are sold.

The Greek word paradosis, which has generally been translated as tradition in the West, refers to that which is delivered and handed on. It is the word used by Saint Paul to refer to his transmitting of what he himself had received, namely, the very life of God Himself. (Cf. 1 Cor 11:23) This transmission is not only textual, but it is witnessed to in both biblical texts and in other early Christian writings.

The focus of Paradosis Press is therefore to make available biblical and early Christian texts that are in the public domain. Its focus is neither academic nor polemic, but rather on making available central Christian texts that can form our hearts and lead us to conversion.
